To use the system, air bags are placed underwater around the object to be salvaged. Compressed air is then inflated using specialized equipment. The air bags expand, generating buoyancy. As this buoyancy increases, the object is gradually lifted from the water. By adjusting the number, position, and air volume of the air bags, the speed and position of the object can be controlled.
